I'm the editor at We Love Dates. I've spent about ten years working on dating sites, and I write and review the guides on this site.
My job is to tell you plainly what you'll find here before you join. That means straight answers first, then the reasons. It also means saying who the site won't suit. If you want a swipe app with a big crowd near you every night, this site is a different shape. You browse profiles and send a message, and you read replies on a plan.
I also try to be realistic about results. A couple of good dates over several months is a normal outcome on any dating site, and I write with that in mind. I won't promise you'll meet someone in a week.
I write in British English, for adults who have usually been through a thing or two already. You won't find hype in my pages, and you won't find made-up success stories.
