3. The Millennium Walk
The walk covers 25 miles but you don’t have to do all of them in one day. Take in part of the route and get a good feel for the island. The path links Ramsey in the north to Castletown in the south with plenty to see and do on the way. You could climb the beautiful Sky Hill (where the Norse king Godred conquered the Manx in 1079); overlook the Block Eairy and Sulby reservoirs; pass by old mine works abandoned in 1867; and visit the standing stones known as St. Patrick’s Chair.
