Walk and Talk at Eildon Hills

EildonThese beautiful, shapely hills are the perfect place for a walk. You can either drive to the hills or walk from Melrose. The whole walk is about 5 miles and should take 3-4 hours at a relaxed pace. That gives you and your date more than enough time to get to know one another, take in the sights from the top of the hill and explore some of the steeper hill paths. Image via Jono566 on Flickr.

Pop into the social club after a couple of matches to discuss who has the best back hand and perhaps get to know one another when you’re not running around after a tennis ball. Or…

Grab a Pint and Watch Some Rugby

RugbyIf you’re from Melrose, you can’t help but admire the town’s sporting history when it comes to rugby. Melrose was the birthplace of Rugby Sevens and also has a Rugby Union team, Melrose RFC.
