7 Creative Date Ideas In San Diego
San Diego is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Instead of taking a date to yet another dinner and a movie, take advantage of everything this beautiful city has to offer. Play tourist for the day and hit up the Zoo or go for a hike in Torrey Pines and work on your tans together. To help get your ideas flowing, here are 7 creative date ideas in San Diego.
Hotel del Coronado This beach resort is an iconic San Diego landmark. It’s on one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in Southern California, and it’s the perfect place to escape the city for a day. There are tons of shops, amazing restaurants, and secluded beach fronts to enjoy the views and each others company. You’ll feel like you’re on a tropical island just for the day!
Hiking Torrey Pines One of the benefits of living (and dating!) in San Diego is that thanks to the gorgeous weather year round, there are so many outdoor activities to take advantage of! One of the favorites is hiking through the Torrey Pines Reserve. It’s not a strenuous hike, so you won’t be huffing and puffing in front of your date, and there are so many trails to choose from ending at the coast, cliffs or the beach. Razor Point is a favorite-but be careful!
Brewery Tour San Diegans love their beer! One of the best ways to experience the best of the brewery scene is by going on a tour. Taste new beers, learn the history behind each brewery and best of all-no driving!
Balboa Park Museums Balboa Park could keep you busy on your next ten dates-there is so much to do! A good place to start is with some of the 15 major museums on the property. From the Natural History Museum to the San Diego Automotive Museum, there is lot’s to see, which means you and your date won’t ever run out of things to talk about!
Wine tasting in Temecula Less than an hour away from Downtown San Diego is the Temecula wine country, a great day date activity. Who needs Napa? Temecula is famous for award winning wineries, beautiful views and a romantic ambiance. If you don’t want to drive, there are plenty of wine tour services, or cute inn’s for you to stay the night in.
Birch Aquarium When you think of San Diego, your next thought is probably THE BEACH. Not only does SD have some of the most amazing beaches in the world, but all that ocean has a lot to offer! With sharks, tide pools, and seahorses to name a few, The Birch Aquarium at UCSD makes for a creative date experience. Maybe just don’t go have sushi after…
The San Diego Zoo One of the BEST first dates I’ve ever been on was to the San Diego zoo. Guys, if you want a girl to be putty in your hands all you have to do is show her some cute animals! The Zoo is sometimes dismissed by locals as a tourist attraction, but it’s worth fighting the crowds on a date.
